Visit Labuan


The Labuan, an island off the coast of East Malaysia, has a rich natural and cultural heritage. Located in the South China Sea and part of the Federal Territory of Labuan, the island offers beautiful beaches, lush rainforests, mangroves and islands with plenty of wildlife and flora to explore.

Popular tourist attractions on the island include Layang-Layang Island, a small islet known for its coral reefs and diving sites; Labuan International Golf Club where one can play golf while admiring views over Brunei Bay; as well as historical attractions such as Chimney Monument which stands at 15 meters tall commemorating a significant moment in World War II history.

In addition to its natural beauty, Labuan is also home to many interesting historical sites such as the Royal Customs Department Building that was built in 1879 by Charles Brooke when he was ruling Sarawak; Victoria Clock Tower built in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee; Surrender Point which marks where Japan officially surrendered on September 9th 1945 bringing an end to World War II in Borneo; and traditional Chinese villages with their ancestral temples that date back generations.
