The Lhaviyani Atoll, also known as Faadhippolhu Atoll, is a popular tourist destination in the Maldives. It's made up of more than 75 islands and is located to the northwest of Male. It is renowned for its stunningly clear waters and myriad of aquatic life.

Popular attractions include Kurendhoo Island, where tourists can explore coral reefs teeming with colorful fish, or visit the local village to experience traditional Maldivian life. Alternatively, visitors can take a boat tour around Naifaru Lagoon Island to admire the diverse array of marine life that inhabit its pristine crystal-clear waters.

Interestingly enough, this atoll was once home to an infamous pirate named Hassan Hama who terrorized traders during the 18th century before he was eventually captured by Sultan Muhammed Imaadhudheen II in 1753. Today however it serves as a tranquil retreat for many wanting to escape from their everyday lives and bask in its unspoiled beauty!
