Visit Morelos

Morelos is a state in Mexico located south of Mexico City, near the states of Puebla and Guerrero. It is known for its vibrant culture and beautiful landscapes, ranging from tropical rainforests to snow-capped mountains. Popular tourist attractions include the ruins of Xochicalco, an ancient Mesoamerican city perched atop a hilltop, as well as Cuautla's hot springs, where visitors can relax and soak in mineral-rich waters. Morelos also boasts many historical monuments dating back to Pre-Columbian times - the Palace of Cortes in Cuernavaca is one such example. In addition to its cultural sights, Morelos has a wealth of natural wonders that are worth exploring such as Las Estacas National Park along with numerous colonial churches and haciendas (historic estates). One interesting fact about Morelos is that it was one of the first states where independence from Spain was proclaimed by Jose Maria Morelos y Pavon on September 15th 1813.
