Visit Fălești District


The Falesti District of Moldova is located in the north-central part of the country and is home to over 50,000 people. The district capital, also called Falesti, serves as the main center for local administration and commerce. Nearby tourist spots include the Cricova Winery which offers tours and wine tastings, as well as Soroca Fortress which was built by Stephen III of Moldavia in 1499.

In addition to its history and culture, Falesti boasts beautiful landscapes with open fields full of sunflowers set against rolling hills. The district also features a number of archaeological sites from different historical periods such as Getic settlements from 500 BC or Roman ruins from 700 AD.
