Visit Florești District


The Floresti District is one of the 32 districts in Moldova. Located in the north-western region of Moldova, it is bordered by Ukraine and Riscani district to the west and north respectively. It has a population of approximately 56,700 people as per 2019 records.

Floresti District is known for its scenic landscapes and diverse wildlife. Tourists visiting this district can explore interesting places like Storojinet Hill, which offers panoramic views of the neighboring districts, or visit Paltinis village where traditional houses still stand from as early as 18th century.

Aside from natural attractions, this district also offers a glimpse into its history through archaeological sites such as Cucuteni Culture Settlement which was discovered in 1902 by Alecu Russo who unearthed ancient artifacts that date back to 4500 BC - 2700 BC era on that very spot.
