Visit Sîngerei District

Singerei District is a region located in the northeastern part of Moldova, near the country's border with Ukraine. The district is relatively small, and covers an area of about 500 square kilometres. It is known for its picturesque landscape with rolling hills, grasslands and rivers.

The district's main tourist attractions are its many monasteries and churches such as the Church of St Stephen, Sfenta Cuvioase Paraschiva Monastery and Sfintii Trei Ierarhi Monastery. Tourists can also explore local museums such as the History Museum or relax at Ecaterina Teodoroiu Park while learning more about Moldovan culture.

Besides being a popular tourist destination, Singerei District has an interesting historical background; it was originally founded in 1796 by Russian settlers who were escaping from religious persecution in Russia. This makes it one of the oldest settlements still existing today in Moldova.
