The Draa-Tafilalet region of Morocco is known for its stunning desert landscape and its long history. Located at the edge of the Sahara Desert, it features vast rolling sand dunes and oases lined with palm trees. Tourists can visit the historic city of Erfoud, which was once an important trading hub on the caravan route between Timbuktu and Europe. The famous Legzira Beach is also a popular destination in this area, with its beautiful stretch of red sandstone arches overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

The Draa-Tafilalet region holds a rich cultural heritage dating back to Roman times, when it was part of an ancient Berber kingdom known as Mauretania Tingitana. It's said that Rissani, another city in this region, was founded by Moulay Ali Ben Rachid in 1215 AD - making it one of Morocco's oldest cities! Today, visitors to this region can explore traditional villages nestled in palm groves or magnificent kasbahs built by local tribesmen centuries ago.
