Visit Erongo Region

Erongo is a region in Namibia that is known for its stunning landscapes. It's located along the Atlantic coast and the area is home to some of the country's most impressive scenery. The region is dotted with mountains and desert, as well as many small towns and villages.

One of the top tourist attractions in Erongo is Spitzkoppe, a granite mountain that rises out of the desert. From here, visitors can explore ancient rock paintings or enjoy spectacular sunsets with views over the surrounding plains. Another popular destination is Swakopmund, a picturesque coastal town known for its beaches, colonial architecture, and great restaurants and cafes.

For those interested in history, Erongo has plenty to offer too. One of Namibia's most famous archaeological sites lies within this region - Twyfelfontein (also called Ui-Ais) contains more than 2 000 engravings on stone believed to have been carved by San bushmen between 6 000 BC and 2 000 BC!
