The Omaheke Region of Namibia is a semi-arid, sparsely populated area located on the eastern edge of the Kalahari Desert. Featuring vast open plains, rolling hills and rocky outcrops, the region is home to some of Namibia's most spectacular scenery. From here, visitors can explore Etosha National Park - one of Africa's largest wildlife reserves - or take a self-drive safari along routes like C14 which winds through picturesque landscapes.

For those interested in culture and history, Twyfelfontein - one of Namibia's first World Heritage Sites - offers an insight into ancient Bushmen rock art carved over 6000 years ago. Other significant sites include Hoba Meteorite - the world's largest naturally occurring meteorite - and Brandberg Mountain - home to more than 500 recorded Bushman paintings.

Omaheke has also played an important part in modern history; it was here during WWII that South Africans fought against advancing German forces at both Omauni and Otavi.
