The Omusati Region of Namibia is a coastal region located in the country's north-western corner. It has one of the largest populations in all of Namibia, with more than 350,000 inhabitants. The economy is largely driven by agriculture and fishing, while tourism also contributes to the region's prosperity.

For visitors looking to explore this unique part of the world, there are plenty of things to do and sites to visit. Guided tours through Etosha National Park offer an unforgettable experience as you witness some of Namibia's incredible wildlife - including giraffe, zebra and lion - up close. Or take a day excursion out to Epupa Falls on the Kunene River where you can soak up stunning views while swimming in natural plunge pools along its banks.

Omusati Region has a long history dating back centuries before it was colonised by Europeans during German rule in 1884. One interesting historical fact about Omusati is that it was home to Namibia's first president Sam Nujoma until his inauguration as president in 1990 when he moved his residence permanently to Windhoek.
