Visit Anibare District

Anibare District is a region on Nauru, an island nation located in the Central Pacific. The Anibare District is known for its picturesque beaches with coconut trees lining the shoreline. Yaren, Nauru's capital city, can be found in the Anibare District and it's where most of the island's tourists visit when exploring this tropical paradise.

Two notable tourist attractions include Command Ridge, which was used as a defensive stronghold during World War II by Japanese forces against Allied troops and Buada Lagoon, which is home to an abundance of unique wildlife including land crabs and sea birds.

An interesting historical fact about Anibare District is that it was the site of a German settlement in 1886 before becoming part of Australia's mandate in 1919 after WWI. This region continues to be one of great cultural significance for locals today, with much pride taken in preserving their history.
