Visit Baiti District

The Baiti District of Nauru is located in the central part of the island nation. This isolated paradise is a great place to explore nature and relax in peaceful surroundings. It is home to some of the most breathtaking beaches, lagoons, and coral reefs.

The main tourist attraction here is Yaren Beach which offers magnificent views of crystal clear turquoise waters and white sand beaches. For a more adventurous experience, head over to Anibare Lagoon which provides plenty of opportunities for kayaking, windsurfing, and snorkeling.

History buffs will be interested to know that this area was one of the first settlements on Nauru dating back centuries ago when it served as an important trading post between Asia and Polynesia. The district also has two relics from World War II - Utena Meabao Cave (formerly used as a Japanese air-raid shelter) and Aopo Airfield (an abandoned airstrip).
