Visit Meneng District

The Meneng District is an administrative district of the island nation of Nauru. Located in the central part of the country, it covers a total area of 4 square kilometers and is home to a population of over 2,200 people. The district's capital is Meneng Town which boasts some gorgeous white sand beaches and crystal clear blue waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

One interesting touristy location in Meneng District is Anibare Bay. It was once used by Japanese forces as an anchorage during World War II, which makes this destination historically significant. The bay also offers some spectacular views of the island - both above and below sea level - making it a great spot for photography lovers too!

Another popular destination in Meneng District is Moqua Well, one of the oldest wells on Nauru that dates back to 1885. This historical landmark was built using hand-hewn stones from nearby quarries and still holds fresh water today - an amazing feat considering its age! So if you're ever visiting Nauru, be sure to check out these two major attractions located within Meneng District - you won't regret it!
