Visit Flevoland

Flevoland is a province in the Netherlands located on the shores of the IJsselmeer. It's one of the youngest provinces of the Netherlands, having been inundated and reclaimed from water in 1957. Flevoland offers a wide variety of attractions, ranging from its many nature reserves to its historical sites.

One place visitors must visit is both Oostvaardersplassen and Weerribben-Wieden National Parks. These parks are home to a variety of wildlife and offer spectacular views over vast expanses of water. In addition to these natural wonders, Flevoland also has many interesting historical sites such as Schokland--a former island that was reclaimed from water during the formation of Flevoland--and Biddinghuizen, an old fishing village that dates back to medieval times.

A unique aspect about Flevoland's history is that it's entirely manmade; what was once an area covered by sea is now a thriving province with bustling cities and quaint villages. With its stunning scenery, fascinating history, and vibrant culture, it's no surprise that Flevoland has become one of Holland's top tourist destinations!
