Visit Limburg

Limburg is a province in the southern part of the Netherlands, located between Belgium and Germany.
It is home to rolling hills, lush forests and winding rivers that offer visitors a variety of outdoor activities. Limburg also has many historical landmarks and monuments as well as modern attractions such as theme parks, museums and shopping centers.

A popular tourist destination in Limburg is Maastricht, known for its picturesque city center lined with cafes and canals. The city also boasts impressive architecture like St Servaas Church, which dates back to the 10th century. For those who prefer adventure activities, Hoge Kempen National Park offers myriad hiking trails through pine forests, sand dunes and wetlands.

Limburg has played an important role in Dutch history; it was here that the Eighty Years' War began in 1568 when William of Orange presented his Declaration of Independence to his supporters at what is now known as the Binnenhof palace complex in The Hague. Other historic sites include Thorn Castle near Roermond which dates from 1250 AD or Valkenburg Castle which served as a base for German military operations during World War II.
