Madurodam

Madurodam is a miniature park located in The Hague, Netherlands. It is home to nearly all of the iconic Dutch landmarks, including the tulip fields, windmills and canals. Visitors are sure to be captivated by the attention to detail - each model being built with great accuracy and at a scale of 1:25. Not only that, but Madurodam also provides interactive experiences such as tinkering with locks in a miniature canal or setting off explosions on an exact replica of the Afsluitdijk dike. No visit to The Hague would be complete without experiencing Madurodam! Be sure to check out its iconic buildings like City Hall and Grote Kerk as well as its charming traditional Dutch homes while visiting this unique attraction!
Directions
Madurodam is easy to reach by public transport and by car. It is just 45 minutes from Amsterdam and 25 minutes from Rotterdam. If you would like to continue to the beach after your visit, you can have the sand between your toes at Scheveningen within 10 minutes.
Plan your visit
Planning ahead for a visit to Madurodam in The Hague is the best way to make sure you have an enjoyable trip. Research online and plan your itinerary before you arrive. Book tickets online, so you don’t have long lines at the entrance gate. Consider staying overnight in one of the nearby hotels or hostels if it fits your budget. Pack light but bring layers as temperatures may change throughout the day. Make sure you check opening times, as they vary daily and some attractions are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Bring cash with you, as not all vendors accept card payments or do refunds on cards. Lastly, don’t forget your camera! Capture memorable moments during your stay that will remain with you forever!
