Visit Gombe State


Gombe State is located in north-east Nigeria, along the hills of the Mandara Mountains. The capital of Gombe State is Gombe City and it is home to a diverse and vibrant culture. Tourists can experience the beauty of nature as well as traditional customs in this region.

A popular tourist destination within Gombe State is Yantumaki Waterfall, located near Nafada. This waterfall has a 20-meter high drop and cascades into a pool which visitors love to swim in. In addition, another great place to visit within Gombe State is Kaltungo Hill where visitors can get a glimpse into traditional Hausa and Fulani cultures.

Gombe State also holds historical significance; it was one of the first territories to fall under British rule during the early 19th century when they began their colonization efforts in Nigeria. It later became part of Northern Nigeria protectorate before Nigeria's independence in 1960 and eventually became one of its 36 states after that.
