Nasarawa State is located in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria. It is home to many ethnic groups, including the Eggon, Alago, Hausa and Ubawu. The state capital of Nasarawa is Lafia. Nasarawa State is known for its natural beauty, as it features pristine forests and rivers like River Benue and River Shendam.

Tourist attractions include Wamba Rock City, a stunning rock formation in Wamba town which dates back 6000 years ago; Agaza Hill in Akwanga Local Government area which offers spectacular views; and Mangu Lake Nature Reserve which is an important wetland habitat for birds and reptiles.

An interesting historical fact about Nasarawa State is that the famous warrior queen Gberayere of Awe Kingdom hailed from there during the 19th Century - she successfully defended her people against neighbouring enemies with courage and strength!
