Visit Zamfara State


Zamfara State is a region in the Northwest of Nigeria bordered by Niger, Sokoto, and Katsina States. It's known for its vibrant culture and scenic views. As one of Nigeria's most populated states, visitors can explore the bustling markets filled with goods from all around the region. Tourists should not miss out on visiting the well-preserved Maru Bode Cave which is over 2000 years old or paying respects at Gando Hills. The historical hills are said to be inhabited ever since pre-historic times and have been remembered through oral traditions passed down through generations. There are also plenty of sites to explore like Kuyambana Valley, Kanfanin Daji rock paintings or Babban Dodo Waterfall and Shrine. All these places offer an insight into Zamfara's rich history as well as its unique culture that continues to evolve today.
