Visit Phillip Island

Phillip Island is a region located off the coast of Australia in the Pacific Ocean. It's part of the state of Victoria and is approximately 140 km southeast of Melbourne. This island is known for its abundance of wildlife, rugged landscapes and stunning beaches.

One popular tourist destination on Phillip Island is The Nobbies Centre, where visitors can check out views from the boardwalk along cliff tops and rock formations. Here you'll also have a chance to see the colony of Australian fur seals lazing on nearby Seal Rocks. Another great spot to visit in this area is Phillip Island's Penguin Parade, where Little Penguins come ashore at sunset after a day spent fishing in Bass Strait.

An interesting historical fact about Phillip Island relates to its aboriginal history; it was once inhabited by members of the Kurnai tribe who referred to it as 'Omeo' or 'home' due to its abundant food sources such as fish, shellfish, eels and kangaroos that they were able to hunt or catch for sustenance purposes.
