The Northeastern region of North Macedonia is home to some of the country's most exciting attractions. An interesting historical fact about Northeastern North Macedonia is that it was once ruled by Alexander The Great between 336-323 B.C., when his Macedonian Empire stretched across much of Europe into Asia Minor granting him control over these lands until his death in 323 B.C..
