Visit Ash Sharqiyah North Governorate

Ash Sharqiyah North Governorate of Oman is located in the northeastern part of the country, bordering Saudi Arabia to the east. It is one of eleven governorates in Oman and is known for its picturesque beaches, rugged mountains, and deep valleys.

The area has a rich history dating back to the pre-Islamic era, when it was populated by nomadic tribes that lived off a combination of fishing and farming. Visitors today can still visit many ancient sites such as mudbrick tombs and other archaeological remains.

Many popular tourist attractions are found within Ash Sharqiyah North Governorate including Quriyat beach, wadis (dry riverbeds), and wildlife sanctuaries like Ras al Hadd Turtle Reserve where endangered green turtles nest from May to October each year. Wadi Bani Khalid with its natural pools is another great spot for visitors interested in exploring nature as well as taking photographs of this breathtaking landscape.

In addition to these natural beauty spots, Al Kamil wal Wafi Fort located on top of a mountain offers stunning views along with an interesting historical fact--it had been rebuilt three times since it was first constructed during the 16th century reign of Imam Sultan bin Saif Al Ya'rubi!
