Visit Airai


The Airai of Palau are an ethnically diverse population living on the island of Babeldaob, the largest island in the Micronesian archipelago. They are a friendly people, known for their hospitality and generosity. Airai's culture is strongly rooted in its traditional belief system, which includes ancient legends and stories passed from generation to generation.

One popular tourist destination is Ulong Island, located just off the northern coast of Palau. Visitors can explore limestone caves and take part in activities such as kayaking, snorkeling and stand-up paddle boarding. For a more relaxed experience, head to Jellyfish Lake where you can swim with thousands of harmless jellyfish that have been living in isolation for centuries.
