Visit Kayangel

The Kayangel region in Palau is a tropical paradise located in the northern part of the country. It is comprised of 7 small islands, each with its own unique beauty and charm. Kayangel has some of Palau's most beautiful and pristine beaches, surrounded by lush vegetation, crystal-clear waters and rich coral reefs offering excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities.

Kayangel also has several historical sites that are worth visiting including the Ancient Rock Paintings which date back to 2000 BC as well as traditional buildings from centuries ago. These sites offer visitors an insight into the fascinating history of this area.

For those looking to experience more contemporary attractions, Corals Garden is a great place to visit; it's an underwater garden filled with bright coral reefs and sea creatures such as rays, turtles, sharks and dolphins. Also not to be missed is one of Kayangel's most iconic landmarks: The Jellyfish Lake which houses millions of friendly jellyfish perfect for swimming with!

Finally an interesting historical fact about Kayangel is that it was once ruled by Japan during World War II before being reclaimed by Palau in 1945 - a reminder that Calau's past remains intertwined with its present day culture today.
