The West Bank of Palestinian Territories is an area rich in cultural and religious history, located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. It is home to some of the world's holiest sites, such as Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Tourists can explore the old city of Jerusalem with its many markets, churches, mosques and other monuments. They can also visit the ancient city of Jericho or take a tour through Hebron's old bazaars. Other interesting locations include Tel Aviv (the current Israeli capital) and Ramallah (the de facto Palestinian capital).

History buffs will have plenty to keep them occupied too: The West Bank has been part of Palestine since at least 5000 BCE when it was controlled by various Canaanite rulers. Later on in history it was ruled by Rome, then by Islamic empires such as the Umayyad Caliphate and Ottoman Empire until finally being annexed into Israel in 1967.
