Visit Manus

Manus Province is a coastal province located in the northern part of Papua New Guinea. It consists of the Admiralty Islands, which are made up of several large islands and numerous atolls. It is known for its lush rainforests and pristine beaches.

One popular tourist destination here is Lorengau, which offers visitors access to the beautiful King George Beach, reefs, and surrounding islands teeming with native wildlife such as turtles and dolphins. Another popular spot to visit is Los Negros island where visitors can explore WWII relics from battles fought during WWII when American forces were stationed on the island.

An interesting historical fact about Manus Province is that it was home to one of Australia's largest concentration camps during World War II - Lombrum Naval Base/Camp Moidere - where Australian soldiers were stationed and thousands of Japanese prisoners were held captive.
