The Lesser Poland Voivodeship is the southernmost of the 16 provinces in Poland. This province, known for its picturesque landscapes, is home to numerous historic towns and tourist attractions such as Krakow and Auschwitz. It has a total population of over 3 million people.

Krakow is an ancient city that can trace its roots back to medieval times. Tourists flock to this area for its art galleries, museums, and unique architecture like Wawel Castle. Additionally, visitors can explore Jewish culture at the Galicia Jewish Museum or take in some live music at one of the many clubs scattered throughout Krakow's old town center.

Another key destination within Lesser Poland is Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, located about 2 hours from Krakow's city center. This memorial stands as a reminder of one of history's darkest moments and provides visitors with an insight into Nazi Germany's cruelty during WWII through interactive displays and guided tours which offer valuable insights into life inside these concentration camps during this time period.
