Visit Lower Silesian Voivodeship


The Lower Silesian Voivodeship is located in southwestern Poland, and borders the Czech Republic to the south. It contains some of the most picturesque scenery in all of Europe, with rolling hills, dense forests and mountain ranges. The region is also home to a diverse range of architectural styles, ranging from Gothic churches to Baroque palaces.

Two popular places for visitors are Wroclaw and Ksiaz Castle. Wroclaw, formerly known as Breslau, was one of Germany's most important cities during World War II and boasts an impressive array of cultural sights including a myriad of Gothic cathedrals, palaces and market squares. Ksiaz Castle is located just outside Walbrzych city center and is one of the largest castles in Poland boasting hundreds upon hundreds of rooms spread across its enormous grounds making it a perfect destination for visitors interested in exploring the castle's many hidden secrets.

An interesting historical fact about Lower Silesia is that it was part of Bohemia until 1742 when it was annexed by Prussia as part of the First Silesian War between Prussia and Austria which lasted several months before being ended by Treaty between them .
