Visit Lubelskie

Lubelskie is a province in the east of Poland, bordered by Ukraine and Belarus. Located in the middle-eastern regions of Poland, Lubelskie has long been a center for trade due to its location along major trading routes. The region is known for having some of the best preserved medieval castles and fortifications in Europe as well as numerous churches and monasteries from different religions. It's also home to many museums showcasing such diverse subjects as art, nature and culture.

The two most interesting tourist attractions are the Zamosc Old Town Square, one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1992; and Zamkowy Park Krajobrazowy (Castle Landscape Park), an outdoor haven with gardens, parks, lakes and forests ideal for hiking or simply enjoying nature walks.

Founded in 1377 by King Casimir III of Poland at least one interesting historical fact about Lubelskie is that it was initially named "Palatinatus Leopoliensis" after its first city - Leopolis (present day Lviv).
