Visit Lubuskie


Lubuskie is a province of Poland located in the western part of the country and bordered by Germany. It covers an area of 18,022 km2 and its population is approximately 1,150,000. Lubuskie is characterized by its low mountain ranges, rivers, lakes and forests that make it a great spot for outdoor activities like biking or hiking. Its most visited cities are Zielona Gora (the capital) and Gorzow Wielkopolski which are vibrant places full of bars, restaurants and cultural activities such as theaters or cinemas.

Touristy places to visit include Kostrzyn nad Odra where one can find traces from World War II like bunkers or trenches; or Goluski National Park with its beautiful lakes suitable for swimming and fishing as well as old forests made up mostly by pine trees perfect for nature exploration.
Beside all this natural beauty Lubuskie also holds some historical facts worth mentioning such as the fact that it was originally founded in 1945 after World War II when German lands were divided among different countries including Poland who was given Lubuskie's territory at that time.
