The Masovian Voivodeship of Poland is the largest and most populous of all 16 Polish voivodeships. Located in east-central Poland, Masovia covers an area of roughly 35,579 square kilometres and is home to more than 5.3 million people. The capital city is Warsaw - one of the most vibrant cities in Central Europe, offering a unique blend of historic sights and modern attractions such as the Palace of Culture and Science and Old Town Market Square.

Masovia carries an interesting history that dates back to 1138 when it was established by Prince Boleslaw III Wrymouth. Throughout its long existence it has been ruled by several different powers including Prussia, Austria-Hungary, Russia and Nazi Germany during World War II before reintegrating into Poland in 1945.
