The Podkarpackie Voivodeship of Poland is a region located in the south-eastern part of the country and borders several other voivodeships. With its beautiful mountains, forests, rivers and lakes, it is a popular destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

One popular tourist attraction in this region is Kroscienko nad Dunajcem, known as 'Poland's Little Switzerland' due to its stunning scenery. The area offers plenty of hiking trails and interesting caves to explore. Another must-see place is the ancient city of Przemysl with its Old Town district full of historic monuments and churches.

Historically, Podkarpackie Voivodeship was once part of an autonomous region called Red Ruthenia before it was annexed by Austria-Hungary in 1772. It became an integral part of Poland after World War II as part of the Yalta Agreement between Soviet Union, United States and Great Britain in 1945.
