Wielkopolskie is a province in western Poland. It's the second largest (after Mazowieckie) and the most densely populated province in Poland. It borders with Greater Poland, Lower Silesia, Lubusz, and the German states of Brandenburg and Saxony. Wielkopolskie offers plenty to see and do for visitors! The city of Poznan is home to many historic monuments including Poznan Cathedral, National Museum, Stary Rynek Market Square and Town Hall as well as a host of cultural attractions. Further south is the former capital of the Piast dynasty - Gniezno; filled with historical buildings such as Gniezno Cathedral or Hill of Lech Mammoth plus numerous museums. For outdoor activities take your pick from canoeing on Warta River or one of over 600 lakes within its boundaries or visit some beautiful nature reserves like Drawienski National Park.
