Visit Zachodniopomorskie


Zachodniopomorskie is a province in the north-west of Poland. It's bordered by the Baltic Sea, Germany and Pomeranian Voivodeship. The region offers stunning landscapes with plenty of lakes, rivers and forests. There are several tourist attractions in Zachodniopomorskie including medieval castles, stylish churches and museums. Two popular places to visit are The Gothic church of St John which is one of the most beautiful monuments in Koszalin and Drawsko Landscape Park which is home to some amazing sandstone cliffs created from wind erosion over thousands of years.

The region also has a fascinating history with roots back to medieval times when it was part of the Duchy of Pomerania under Polish rule. Interesting historical facts include that German Emperor Wilhelm II used to spend most summers at his palace on Wolin island until 1919 when the Treaty Of Versailles saw it lose ownership as land became part of Poland again.
