Visit Nord-Est

The Nord-Est region, located in northeastern Romania, is a beautiful area full of culture and history. It has stunning landscape that features the Carpathian Mountains, rolling hills and lush forests. With its thriving agricultural industry and numerous tourist attractions, this is a great place to explore.

One of the best places to visit in Nord-Est is Suceava County. This city is home to some remarkable churches such as Moldovita Monastery, which was built in the 16th century by Stephen the Great. There are also many old fortresses in this region including Neamt Fortress which was founded by Petru I Musat in 1395.

Another popular spot for tourists is Bistrita Nasaud County where you can explore several fascinating caves that were formed thousands of years ago by rock erosion due to water flow from nearby rivers. You can also take part in activities such as hiking or skiing on nearby Piatra Craiului National Park's trails or go whitewater rafting on Vaser River for an unforgettable experience.

The region's history dates back to Roman times when it was part of Dacia province before becoming part of Austro-Hungarian Empire following World War I until it became Romanian once again after World War II ended.
