Discover Saint Petersburg

Saint Petersburg is a charming city located in the country of Russia. Known as "the Venice of the North", this beautiful city is filled with culture, history and art. Founded by Peter the Great in 1703, Saint Petersburg was the capital of Imperial Russia until 1918 and it remains one of Russia's most important cultural centers today.

One of the main attractions when visiting Saint Petersburg is its grand architecture. The historic center features magnificent palaces and churches from a variety of architectural styles including Baroque, Neoclassical, Empire and Modernist styles. The Hermitage Museum houses an impressive collection including over three million pieces from all over the world and spanning five thousand years of history making it one of the largest art galleries in existence today.

The beauty and culture can also be experienced during cultural events like White Nights which occurs during late spring when days are longest due to its northern location - visitors can witness a magical sunset at 11pm! There are also numerous parks throughout Saint Petersburg that provide respite from busy city life such as Summer Garden - home to rare plants, breathtaking sculptures and monuments dating back hundreds of years ago that provide peaceful strolls for locals who come here daily to relax even if just for a few minutes.
