Visit Ural

The Ural Mountains, located in western Russia, span over 2,500 km from the coast of the Arctic Ocean to Kazakhstan. This picturesque mountain range is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes of snow-tipped peaks and dense forests.

The Ural region is a popular tourist destination that offers many attractions, such as the ancient city of Ekaterinburg with its grand architecture and cultural sites; the Bashkir Republic's national parks which feature stunning views of mountains and valleys; and Lake Baikal which boasts some of the clearest waters in all of Russia.

An interesting historical fact about this region is that during World War II, a fortification known as "Stalin's Line" was built along the Ural mountains to protect against a potential German invasion. Today, this defense line still exists in various areas along the range and can be visited by tourists.
