Visit Saint Martin

The island of Saint Martin is located in the Caribbean Sea and is divided into two semi-autonomous nations: France and the Netherlands. It has a rich history dating back to 1493 when Christopher Columbus discovered it. Today, the island's beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, lively nightlife, and excellent cuisine attract tourists from around the world.

One of the most popular attractions in Saint Martin for tourists is Fort Amsterdam. This Dutch fort was built in 1631 and offers guests a spectacular view of Philipsburg Bay as well as an interesting piece of historical architecture to explore. Another popular destination on Saint Martin is Happy Bay Beach; known for its pristine sand and crystal clear waters, this beach has been voted one of the best beaches in all of Saint Martin.

An interesting fact about Saint Martin's history is that it was once home to an early settlement led by French Huguenot refugees who had fled religious persecution in Europe during the 17th century. The settlement was short-lived but still left its mark on both sides of the island through various cultural traditions that remain today.
