Visit Langlade Island

The Langlade Island region of Saint Pierre and Miquelon is made up of a group of small islands off the Atlantic coast of Canada. It offers breathtaking scenery with lush forests, sandy beaches, and pristine waters. The area is home to a wide variety of wildlife including whales, seals, seabirds and an abundance of other marine life. Tourists can explore the natural beauty by taking part in activities such as fishing, whale watching, kayaking or sailing.

Two popular tourist attractions are the Fort Royal Museum and the Gare Maritime Museum. The former pays homage to the French colonization history in Saint Pierre et Miquelon; while at the latter you can learn about how this unique territory has become an important port over time.

In addition to its amazing sights and activities, Langlade Island also boasts an interesting historical fact: it was once owned by two different countries - England and France - before finally becoming part of France in 1814 after Napoleon's exile from Elba ended his reign on mainland Europe.
