Visit Miquelon Island

Miquelon Island is a French overseas territory located off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. It is one of the two main islands in the archipelagic region of Saint Pierre and Miquelon. Miquelon's coastline is dotted with white sand beaches, small fishing villages, and rocky coves that are perfect for admiring sunsets.

The shoreline provides an ideal spot for activities such as swimming, boating, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and whale watching while on land visitors can explore historic monuments from World War II or take part in traditional festivities like le Fete des Filets Bleus - a celebration of local fishing traditions.

Two must-see attractions include Pointe aux Canons Lighthouse which overlooks Fortune Bay and offers stunning views of the island's rocky coastline; and Langlade Beach - an idyllic beach with crystal clear waters that offers plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities.

An interesting fact about Miquelon Island is that it was once used by Basque fishermen to dry their cod during long fishing trips away from Europe centuries ago!
