Al-Bahah is a region of Saudi Arabia located in the southwestern area of the country. It contains three major cities: Al-Bahah, Khamis Mushait, and Baljurashi. The area is known for its many mountainous areas and picturesque views, including the towering Jabal al-Hatim mountain.
Tourists visiting Al-Bahah can visit Muhayil Valley which offers stunning views of mountains and valleys along with numerous hiking trails and camping sites; or they can take in the beauty of Wadi Bishah Waterfall which is surrounded by sprawling green forests.
An interesting historical fact about this region is that King Abdulaziz ibn Saud captured it during his military campaigns to unify Saudi Arabia, culminating with his capture of Al-Bahah in 1913. Today, Al-Baha serves as an important agricultural center for many modern crops such as coffee, fruits, vegetables and dates.
