Discover Najrān

Najran is the largest city in the Najran province of Saudi Arabia, located along the southern border with Yemen. It's known for its ancient historical sites, mountainous terrain and fertile valleys.

One of Najran's most visited tourist attractions is Al-Umari Mosque which dates back to 719 AD. This mosque has been well preserved and is an important pilgrimage site as it contains a relic believed to belong to Prophet Muhammad's daughter.

The Jabal Qa'qa' mountain range lies close by and serves as a great spot for hiking and camping adventures - offering scenic views of the valley below. For nature lovers, there are plenty of desert oases nearby where you can escape the hustle and bustle of urban life and relax in peaceful serenity.

In terms of history, Najran was once occupied by Jewish settlers during the pre-Islamic era until they were driven out by Islamic forces in 630 AD. To this day it remains an important center for Islamic learning with many educational institutions dedicated to Islamic studies such as Al-Qassim University.
