Tambacounda is a region in eastern Senegal, located on the banks of the River Gambia. It borders Mali to the east and Guinea-Bissau to the south. The area has a semi-arid climate, with hot temperatures throughout much of the year.

Tourists visiting Tambacounda can explore its natural beauty, including areas such as Niokolo Koba National Park or Mako National Park - home to some of Senegal's most diverse wildlife.
