Visit Vojvodina


Vojvodina is a northern province of Serbia located between the Danube and Tisa Rivers. It is home to many different ethnic groups, including Serbs, Hungarians, Slovaks, Croats and Romanians. Its capital city is Novi Sad and its official language is Serbian. Home to dozens of nature reserves, Vojvodina offers visitors plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and biking or simply relaxing in the lush countryside.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in Vojvodina is Fruska Gora National Park located near Novi Sad where visitors can take part in various activities such as hiking or skiing. The historic town Sremski Karlovci is also worth visiting for its well-preserved Baroque architecture and numerous wineries offering tasty local wines.

An interesting historical fact about Vojvodina is that it was once a land ruled by many different people over time - Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans, Habsburgs and Hungarians all had their period of control over this region.
