Visit Glacis

The Glacis of Seychelles is a stunning coastal region in the Indian Ocean that encompasses Mahe, Praslin, La Digue and Silhouette Islands. It consists of beautiful white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and lush tropical forests.

One of the main tourist attractions in the Glacis is Anse Lazio beach on Praslin Island which has been voted as one of the world's most beautiful beaches. There are also numerous other spots to explore along the coastline like Morne Seychellois National Park and Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve which offer spectacular views and incredible hikes.

In addition to its natural beauty, the Glacis has an interesting history with some buildings from colonial times still standing today. One such example is Le Niol Plantation House on Silhouette Island which was built in 1829 by British settlers. It now serves as a museum housing artefacts from colonial era including old furniture, photographs and books related to Seychelles' history.
