Visit Plaisance
The Plaisance of Seychelles is an archipelago located off the east coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. It consists of 115 islands, each offering stunning beaches, lush jungles and coral reefs. It is a paradise for nature lovers who can explore and admire the diverse wildlife that inhabits this place. Tourists can visit two of its most popular places: La Digue Island, with its unspoiled white sandy beaches and picturesque granite rocks; and Praslin Island, home to the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve where ancient coco de mer palms grow. Other tourist attractions are bird watching at Bird Island or hiking on Silhouette Island Trails.
For history buffs, it's interesting to note that Seychelles was first discovered by Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama in 1502 when his fleet stopped there en route to India from East Africa. The local population however was not documented until 1770 when British naturalist James Bruce landed there during his journey along the eastern coast of Africa.
