Visit Nitriansky


The Nitriansky region of Slovakia is a picturesque landscape of rolling hills, lush forests, and vibrant fields. The region is known for its many castles and historical sites, including Topolcianky Castle and Beckov Castle. Visitors can also explore the ruins of Bojnice Castle or take a leisurely stroll through the streets of Nitra to admire its Renaissance-era architecture.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Nitriansky region has plenty to offer as well. There are several nature reserves in the area where visitors can enjoy hiking trails and other outdoor activities like kayaking or fishing.

Nitra was once home to an important center for early Slavic culture called Prince Pribina's Great Moravian Settlement in 833 AD which marked the dawn of Christianity on Slovak territory. This settlement was eventually destroyed by nomadic raiders from Hungary but has since become an important cultural and spiritual center in modern Slovakia.
