Plaza
Plaza de Espana is a stunning monument located in Seville, Spain. It was constructed for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 and stands as a symbol of Spanish culture featuring its distinctive neo-Moorish style. This grand plaza is divided into two sections--the Plaza Altanez, which surrounds a large fountain, and the Plaza de Americas, with its mosaic tiled alcoves representing each Spanish province. Notable architectural features include four ornate bridges spanning the manmade waterway known as the Grande Canal. Visitors must not miss out on seeing the iconic central tower which rises up from behind the fountain's reflecting pool. Additionally, they can take time to explore the palm tree lined promenades that offer different views of this impressive place.
