Visit Formentera

Formentera is a Spanish island located in the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Ibiza. It's part of the Balearic Islands and is renowned for its pristine beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The remote nature of Formentera makes it a popular destination for those looking to escape the stresses of everyday life.

Two must-see tourist attractions are Las Salinas beach, known for its white sands, vibrant blue waters and nearby flamingo reserve; and La Mola lighthouse with spectacular views over Es Vedra island - one of Spain's most sacred sites according to local legend.

Historically speaking, Formentera was colonised by the Phoenicians in 1000 BC before becoming part of Spain in 1229 AD following an invasion by King James I. Today it remains an incredibly beautiful place to visit with plenty to explore!
