Fuerteventura is a province located in the Canary Islands of Spain. It is known for its sandy beaches and stunning landscapes, making it one of the top tourist spots in the country. The capital city Puerto del Rosario offers many historical sites to explore such as Casa de los Coroneles and Castillo de Santa Barbara which were built in 1599. The La Oliva region is home to several ancient towns such as Tindaya, where visitors can appreciate a variety of archaeological remains from an ancient culture dating back 3 thousand years ago.

For nature lovers there are plenty of opportunities to explore local flora and fauna at Jandia National Park or Corralejo Natural Park which offer hikes through rugged trails with breathtaking scenery. Also popular is El Cotillo Lighthouse where you can enjoy magnificent sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean while taking in panoramic views from atop a hilltop fortification built by Charles V during his reign in 1593-1598.
